Financial Adoption

You can choose to support us in an efficient way. We have various forms of financial adoption. Through a small monthly contribution, we can deliver our long-term goals. Your monthly contribution makes a great difference to the lives of a child and their family.

Support Umoja

€ 5 per month

  • Seeds for vegetables
  • Clean drinking water
  • Electricity
  • Insurance
  • Salaries for local employees
With € 5 you support our daily activities, and you will receive a quarterly newsletter where you can follow the comings and goings of our NGO.

Support Umoja

€ 10/month

With a monthly donation of € 10 you can be a foster parent in our center. This child comes daily to our center to be prepared for an independent self-reliant life. With your contribution we will arrange:

  • Transport to and from our center and the medical center
  • 2 meals a day in our center
  •  Health insurance entitling them to free medical care
  • Support and guidance for the parents in dealing with the child’s specific care needs.
  • Participation in workshops for self-reliance
  • Work experience
  • Opportunity to find paid employment
  • Clothing for the child
Your monthly contribution of € 10 makes a real difference for one of our children! We will keep you informed of the development made by the child with photographs and a personalized quarterly newsletter.
 

Help a child with a severe mental handicap

€ 20 per month

With a monthly donation of € 20 you can be a foster parent of a child with a severe handicap. These children cannot be cared for currently in our center but are cared for by us in their own homes. With your contribution we will arrange:

  • A weekly home visit from one of our Umoja colleagues
  • Transport to and from the medical therapy center where they will receive:
  • Occupational therapy from a professional team
  • Physiotherapy from a professional team
  • health insurance providing free medical treatment
  • Clothing for the child
  • Guidance for the parent in dealing with the child’s specific requirements
Your monthly contribution of €20 makes a real difference for one of our children! We will keep you informed of the development made by the child with photographs and a personalized quarterly newsletter.

Help us with the further (re)building of the Umoja-Center

€ 40 per month

Our Day Center continues to develop. Every year we start new projects which cost a lot of money. Your support is more than welcome!

We are dreaming of:

Extending our buildings with:

  • More space for workshops
  • A dining room
  • A sensory room for the children
  • An office
  • Toilets and showers
  • A large community room

Purchase of materials

  • For the lessons
  • For the sensory room and the classrooms
  • For the office

Starting a hostel where our children can work and generate their own income

Creation of a kitchen garden, greenhouse and to keep small animals

Your monthly contribution of €40 makes a real difference. We will send you a quarterly newsletter outlining the development of all our projects. Furthermore, we will provide an annual financial report covering all our income and expenditures.
